The smug frown on her face makes it seem like she is (or wants to appear) angry or perturbed. However I do not believe her facial appearance is genuine. If she were truly angry or upset, her brow would be furrowed and her eyes would have a different expression. She's also leaning in close to the camera, or vise versa I suppose, which makes her appear over-bearing or powerful in some way. She definitely is not shy, but I'd wager rather self-confident.

P.S. I've spent about a half-hour perusing your blog now, I like the "modern day proverb" format.

We know that the character may be angry or playfull depending on the intention of the face she is making. she is also an outdoors person based on the cloths shes wearing you can make that assumption.
